1. Using FusionQuill

These terms apply to FusionQuill Reader, the browser-based EPUB and CBZ reader operated by Fusion Quill, AI. Please read them before using the app. If you do not agree, stop using it. You may export your library before removing the app or clearing its data. No account or subscription is required for the current local reader.

Use the app lawfully and only with books you are entitled to access. Do not use it to infringe someone else’s rights, interfere with the service, or attempt unauthorized access to another person’s data.

2. Your books remain yours

No books you import are uploaded to FusionQuill. Importing an EPUB, CBZ, or backup reads that file on your device and saves it in this browser. Reading, search, cover generation, bookmarks, notes, and progress work locally. The current app does not offer accounts, cloud storage, or automatic synchronization.

You keep any rights you have in your books and annotations. Importing them does not give FusionQuill ownership or permission to publish them, and it does not give you additional rights in the underlying work. See our Privacy policy for details about local storage and network requests.

3. Local storage, offline use, and backups

Your library belongs to this browser profile and site address. It does not automatically appear on another device or browser. After the app is ready offline and a book has been saved, you can read it without an internet connection. Installing the app does not create a cloud backup.

Browser cleanup, private browsing, storage limits, device loss, or uninstalling software may remove local data. Export backups regularly and keep original files. Backups include books, reading progress, annotations, and supported settings; they are not password-protected or encrypted by FusionQuill. Keep them somewhere you trust. Restoring with replacement can overwrite the matching book’s saved data.

We cannot recover a local library that has been deleted or lost. Offline availability depends on your browser retaining the app’s cached files and library data.

4. Project Gutenberg editions

The featured classics retain their edition notices and licenses. The following notice applies to Project Gutenberg eBooks, not to every file you import:

Read the full license included in each edition before redistributing it. These app terms do not replace the edition’s license, restrict rights in public-domain text, or remove any rights provided by that license. Project Gutenberg’s trademark has separate conditions. FusionQuill is not affiliated with or endorsed by Project Gutenberg.

5. Sample comics and other content

Sample comics include source information and are offered based on their listed public-domain status in the United States. Copyright rules differ by country. Check the rights that apply where you are before downloading, sharing, or reusing a work. A source listing is not a guarantee of worldwide permission.

Historical books and comics can contain outdated language, stereotypes, violence, or other material readers may find offensive. Their inclusion preserves access to the original works and does not endorse their views. Titles, artwork, trademarks, and other third-party material remain subject to their applicable rights.

6. Downloads and external links

The Time Machine and Captain Marvel Adventures #18 are added automatically once per browser; other samples are added on request. Sample books download from this app’s host to your device. Source and license links take you to independently operated websites with their own terms and privacy practices. FusionQuill does not control those sites or guarantee their availability or accuracy.

7. Availability and responsibility

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every book or browser, or freedom from errors. Features and supported formats may change. Keep independent copies of important files and annotations.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, FusionQuill’s operator disclaims implied warranties and liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app, including lost data or interrupted access. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, overrides mandatory consumer protections, or limits rights or remedies under a book’s own license.

8. Changes and ending use

Updates to these terms will appear here with a revised date. Review them when using an updated version. Any future cloud or account feature would need an updated explanation of its data handling before use; these terms do not authorize uploading your existing library. You can stop using the app at any time and remove its site data using your browser settings after saving any backups you need.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Your mandatory rights under the laws that apply to you remain unaffected.
